One year ago...
One year ago today was the day that Miguel and I told my mom we were expecting. I still remember how I started to cry and could barely speak. All that came out was a tiny squeak but my moms face lite up and she smiled and somehow just knew what I was trying to tell her and she said "Susanna". She named her before we even knew it was a girl or boy!! She was so happy for us and full of joy. We are so blessed we were able to tell her before she died. This was actually one of the last conversations we had when she was still able and strong enough to respond. I think of my mom every day and Susanna is my constant reminder that she is always with me. I promise to raise Susanna in knowing all about her Grandma Sue :)

Bless your hearts! What a beautiful memory and a miracle that you can tell Susanna in the years to come. We are thinking of your mom daily, esp. this week. Thank You for reminding us of her special smile and her great intuition. I think she was most aware of our feelings--she was very observant and sensitive to everyone's needs. Hugs and prayers to all and WE LOVE YOU!
