Little Susanna is doing great!! She celebrated her 3-week birthday this past Tuesday. It is hard to believe that in only a week she will be 1 month old. Where did the last month go??? I guess getting used to life with baby sure does suck you into a time warp. Susanna is getting bigger every day. I wish we had a baby scale so I could see how much she weighs now but I am guessing she is close to 10 pounds. What a cute little chubby monkey!!
Miguel and I have been VERY BUSY packing up our townhouse and getting us ready to move this upcoming Tuesday. We are supposed to close on our new house on Wednesday so if everything goes right we should be unpacking and getting settled starting Wed. afternoon. We are both REALLY looking forward to being in our new home! We have a driveway, garage, and mail box... I couldn't be more excited!!! Miguel has been working SOOO hard to get us there too. Since I am unable to lift any of the heavy boxes or furniture Miguel has had to do it all himself. He has been super and I am so thankful he is such a hard worker. He is the best husband and father and we love him lots :)
Miguel has a class picnic this upcoming Saturday and we are excited to show off Susanna to all his classmates. We are hoping for good weather and a happy baby! She usually behaves sooo well (sleeping through it all) for guests and saves the screaming for Miguel and I late at night. We have heard soo many times, "We just don't believe you that this little girl can scream". We need to videotape it for evidence apparently!!

2 Week Appointment
Susanna had her 2-week appointment today. It is hard to believe it has only been 16 days since our munchkin made her arrival. It feels like MUCH MUCH longer. Maybe it is because our days and nights have started to blend together. Anyway, she did GREAT at her appointment. We got to see the same Dr. who saw her while we were still in the hospital, Dr. Mary. Susanna weighed in at 9 pounds 4 ounces!!!! We are soo proud. I have been telling her at every feeding to chunk up and that I cant wait until her cute little chubby fat rolls are showing. Now I have proof that she is listening to me and working on it :). Everything else checked out fine and Dr. Mary helped us with any of our questions about sleeping and feeding schedules. Her next appointment will be in 2 months and this appointment will have her first set of shots, sooo sad. So far she hasn't cried much at the doctors office but I bet when she gets shots she will let them all know how well she can SCREAM!!

Daddy tried out his Baby Bjorn carrier today and Susanna seemed to really like it. She just seems soo tiny in it right now! Look at those little legs, soo cute!

The Girls Finally Meet!!!
Today was Susanna's first play date!!! Vicki and I were able to get together for the first time since the babies arrived and Susanna and Ava were finally introduced. They are VERY cute together and I know they will grow up being best friends!! We tried to get some pics of the girls hanging out on the couch but they were soo squirmy it was difficult. Maybe their next play date will be more eventful :)

What day is it?
It is amazing how you lose track of the days when all your time is spent taking care of baby! I even had to look on the computer today to find out what day of the week it actually was. For some reason I thought it was Friday, whoops! Susanna is sleeping the longest between 3-7am so we are having long nights and early mornings! Miguel and I have been switching off on the feedings so we are able to each rest for longer periods. So far the lack of sleep hasn't made either of us too crazy! The dog is adjusting wonderfully too. She loves to sniff at Susanna but doesnt know how to react when she cries. We are introducing them slowly but know they will soon be GREAT FRIENDS!! Susanna is lucky to have Sissy as her fuzzy big sister.
We wanted to share some more pics of our beautiful angel. This was from her first car ride. She really does well in the car and seems to enjoy her seat and stroller. Funny how much stuff a baby needs just to leave the house!!

This is her sleepy face. She gets all snuggly and sooo super sweet. Isnt she just the cutest baby ever?!?!

Bath time last night was probalby more fun for Miguel and I than for our chilly little daughter. We are both looking forward to when she can take a real tub bath. Don't dad and daughter look adorable together!! I think she has him wrapped around her finger already :)

Happy Birthday Susanna :)
It is hard to believe that today is Susanna's official 1 week birthday. And it is her estimated due date too! We are soo happy to have her here already and not still be waiting for her arrival. This past week has been an amazing experience and Miguel, Susanna and I have all bonded as a family. We are adjusting to life with baby and each day is more of a blessing than the last. We are figuring out her schedule and know that just as soon as we do it will all change again! She is growing stronger and getting more chubby every day. She really is the cutest baby ever :)

I have been recovering well from the c-section and feel more like myself every day. I am still sore and have to take it slow but have surprised myself at how well I am doing. Hopefully soon everything will be fully healed and I am back to normal.
